MASONRY REPAIR IN Port Perry

Stone and brick have long been popular investments for construction jobs in either residential or commercial settings around Port Perry because they are known to be the most durable materials available. Unfortunately, durable doesn’t mean invincible. Masonry can suddenly crack or crumble, and while most home and business owners may not notice it right away, the faster you get repairs done, the better.

For the most part, Port Perry home and business owners are under the impression that when cracks start to emerge, it’s only an aesthetic issue. However, when cracks start to appear, it gives moisture an opportunity to enter the already porous substance and cause serious damage. Being proactive and getting your masonry repaired as soon as you notice any signs of damage can save you a lot of money and stress. And when you do, calling Zaps Masonry Contracting is the way to make sure the masonry repairs are done right.

Zaps Masonry Contracting has been the premier masonry repair company in Port Perry for many years thanks to my hard work, dedication, professionalism and proficiency. My experience is invaluable when it comes to masonry repairs. Understanding how old materials will work with the new will not only help preserve your residential or commercial building’s beauty, but it will also assure the structural integrity of your building for years to come.

Give me a call if you think your property’s masonry is slipping and I will gladly come take a look and provide you with a free estimate.

REPOINTING SERVICES

Mortar is the glue that holds bricks or stones together. Over time and exposure to the elements, mortar will eventually crumble or fall out. Without a strong hold, your bricks are subject to crumbling or loosening. Once that starts to happen, it’s not just an eyesore, it could cause structural issues. Luckily, Zaps Masonry Contracting has the ability to replace the mortar through repointing.

When your building’s mortar has started to wear down or there are large chunks of it missing altogether, I will chisel out what’s left of the existing mortar. Then, once the old mortar has been removed, I will add a new mixture of mortar to reinforce the brick or stone.

When done poorly, mortar can spread all over the brick or stone, detracting from all the aesthetic value your structure once had. It is also an incredibly labor intensive process that is typically best left to a professional. Unless you have experience working with mortar, I can’t recommend trying this yourself as it can do more damage if you don’t know exactly what you are doing.

Thanks to my extensive experience repointing brick and stone for residential and commercial properties around the Port Perry area, I am confident that I can get your mortar replaced and repaired in practically no time at all.
